Integrity Chamber Provides Two Information Sessions on Integrity to the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor
On August 16th and 18th, 2022, the Integrity Chamber provided information sessions on the importance of integrity to the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (VSA). The information was presented by Integrity Chamber member, Rafael Boasman, and Policy Advisor, Gabi Fuchs.
The sessions were initiated by the Integrity Chamber, based on its task of bringing awareness and promoting integrity to the community. The sessions also included information on the tasks and working methods of the Integrity Chamber.
Mr. Boasman utilized his experience as a former minister and civil servant to discuss the various aspects of integrity that were specific to the duties and responsibilities of the Ministry. Some integrity dilemmas were discussed, and viewpoints were exchanged. One of the topics highlighted was dealing with confidential information. Practical tips were provided on embedding integrity within the organisation. The participants were encouraged to be mindful of their actions as servants of the community. There was also an interactive question and answer segment.
The Ministry of VSA expressed enthusiasm to learn more about the tasks and authorities of the Integrity Chamber. Participants were interested in procedures such as, investigations of suspected misconducts and the confidentiality of notifiers. The Integrity Chamber appreciated the opportunity to provide information sessions to the Ministry.
